Concentration camps in Poland

THE ITINERARY

DAY1: Arrival to Warsaw

check-in at the hotel “Bed and Breakfast Warsaw” from 2:00 pm
Visiting jewish Warsaw (fragment of Ghetto Wall, jewish cemetery, jewish historical Institute, monument to the Heroes of the Ghetto, Umschlagplatz). About 2-3 hours.

DAY2: Treblinka and Lublin

breakfast. Drive to Treblinka
(about 115 km, 2h. Opening hours 9:00 – 18:30). On the way there is a nice Palace Łochów (you can have a lunch or just coffee there).
arrival to Treblinka and visiting concentration camp.
drive to Lublin (about 200 km, 3h). Check-in at the Vanilla Hotel from 2:00 pm. (parking is just 50 meters from the hotel).
visiting beautiful Old Town (main Square, church Tower, the castle) and jewish district (Nowy Kirkut, Uczelnia Mędrców).

DAY3: Majdanek, Sobibór and Zamość

breakfast. Drive to Majdanek (about 5 km, 15 min). Opening hours 9:00 – 17:00).
drive to Sobibór (about 100 km, 1:40h, opening hours of museum 9:00-14:00).
drive to Zamość (about 115 km, 2h). Check-in at the Senator Hotel from 2:00 pm.
visiting Old Town and jewish district.

DAY4: Bełżec, Kraków

breakfast. Drive to Bełżec (about 45 km, 40 min. Opening hours 9:00 – 17:00).
drive to Kraków (about 290 km, 5h). On the way (after 100km) you can visit lovely Łańcut Castle (opening hours 10:00 – 17:00, ticket 21 zł per person. You need around 1:30h). Then after 100 km you are in Tarnów (nice small town). You can visit Old Town with gipsy and jewish sites. In Tarnów definitely recommend Hotel Bristol for lunch! Then drive to Krakow is 85 km, 1:30h.
Arrival to Hotel Dwór Kościuszko

DAY5: Auschwitz, Brzezinka

breakfast. Visiting the jewish district Kazimierz and Podgórze (about 3 hours)
drive to Auschwitz (Oświęcim) (about 65 km, 1:15 hours. Opening hours 8:00 – 19:00). You need 3-4 hours for visiting.
come back to Krakow and for example concert in the evening

DAY6: Częstochowa, Łódź

breakfast. Drive to Częstochowa (about 150 km, 2 hours). Visiting Jasna Góra Sanctuary. The screen covering the Painting of Our Lady is lowered at 12:00, then is raised again at 13:30.
drive to Łódź (about 125 km, 1:50 hours). Check – in at the Revelo Hotel from 2pm

DAY7: Łódź, Chełmno

DAY8: Warszawa

breakfast. Drive to Warszawa (about 140 km, 2:30 hours). Check-in at Bed & Breakfast Warsaw.
time for visiting Old Town and city centre of Warszawa

DAY9: Warszawa, Madrid
