C K DezerterC K Dezerter (the name comes from the title of a movie telling the comic story of the desertion of three Poles from the Austrian army during World War I) is a restaurant which is very popular with the locals. This is unsurprising as it serves delicious dishes taken from local Galician cuisine. This spacious, elegant restaurant has a very homey, relaxed and pleasant feel. The light green walls and simple furniture are reminiscent of an inn. The manager claims that tourists return here year after year and that members of the Polish governement also frequent CK Dezerter while in Krakow. If you come on a Thursday, you will be able to hear live Polish folk music. Galician cuisine means a lot of delicious smoked meats, cabbage and pierogi (dumplings). Cold soup is also available.
